Publisher's summary

From the author:

"My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way: I share my adventures with the world."

Actual reader feedback:

"I am completely baffled as to how you can congratulate yourself for being a womanizer and a raging drunk, or think anyone cares about an idiot like you. Do you really think that exploiting the insecurities of others while getting wasted is a legitimate thing to offer?"

"Thank you, thank you, thank you: for sharing with us your wonderful tales of drunken revelry, for teaching me what it means to be a man, for just existing so I know that there is another option; I too can say 'screw the system' and be myself and have fun. My life truly began when I finished reading your stories. Now, when faced with a quandary about what course of action I should take, I just ask myself, 'What would Tucker do?', and I do it, and I am a better man for it."

"I find it truly appalling that there are people in the world like you. You are a disgusting, vile, repulsive, repugnant, foul creature. Because of you, I don't believe in God anymore. No just God would allow someone like you to exist."

"I'll stay with God as my Lord, but you are my savior. I just finished reading your brilliant stories, and I laughed so hard I almost vomited. I want to bring that kind of joy to people. You're an artist of the highest order and a true humanitarian to boot. I'm in both shock and awe at how much I want to be you."

"You are the coolest person I can even imagine existing. If you slept with my girlfriend, it'd make me love her more."

Critic reviews

"Occasionally, a book comes along that horrifies and disgusts you while making you laugh out loud all at the same time. This book does that and more." (The Rebel Yell)

Made the drive fly by!

This book was hysterical. It wouldn't have been the same if Tucker wouldn't have read it himself, it was the perfect touch. My husband and I listened together and couldn't wait to run that next errand to see what Tucker is up to on his next escapade!

I hope they serve beer in hell

This is the perfect book for a college student! Great stories and amazing desriptions of the hard core and explicit lifestyle of Tucker Max. Very relatable.

Funniest

Funniest book that I have ever read. It had me laughing out loud, at the gym, in the car, and walking down the street, where ever I was listening.

comical stories. Terrible narration. Tucker should have hired someone to narrate this for him. good listen nonetheless

Not for 2X speed listeners

I listen to books at 2X speed and usually have no trouble. But with this guy, it's very challenging as he slurs his words and has a slight lisp. There were times where a sentence sounded like one long word. If he wasn't the author, I would have returned this book and complained.

Hilarious!

This has got to be easily the funniest book I have ever read!
Yeah his narration style is annoying to say the least but I don't think anyone but the author could have done it justice.
Profane...yes, sexist...doesn't even come close to describing his degradation of women. This book was a guilty pleasure and extremely entertaining!!!

Funny and Controversial

I enjoyed this but it is not for people who are offended easily. Great stories!

An Entertaining Book

What did you love best about I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell?

This was a very entertaining book. It appeals to the part of us that would love to go out and party and that there would be no consequences to our actions

Would you listen to another book narrated by Tucker Max?

Yes

Any additional comments?

Although this is an entertaining book, it is not a very wholesome one...at all. This book is a collection of true stories that happened to this complete douche bag.
