Publisher's summary

Best known to the world as the actor who created the legendary Mr. Spock in the cult television series that launched the Star Trek phenomenon, Leonard Nimoy has written the definitive Star Trek memoir. In this long-awaited autobiography, Nimoy opens up to his fans in ways the Vulcan never could.

Having played the pivotal role of Mr. Spock in the original series, in six motion pictures, and in a special two-part episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as having directed two of the movies, Nimoy is well suited to tell the true story behind what was seen by the public. He provides an intelligent and insightful book about the creative process and the actor's craft - and gives his own unique insider's view of the creation of both the character, Mr. Spock, and the Star Trek phenomenon.

Final Spock

Tears as this ends. Spock was always my favorite in Star Trek. I know Mr.Nimoy was always in Spock’s shadow. Know ing other projects he done and by the way his singing album is good, he was able to have a wide range of experiences. His death was a blow and shows how I aged.

Two in One

I am Spock is a brilliant and engaging look at Leonard Nimoys film career. This book gives the reader a behind the scenes look into the original Star Trek series and how it developed. Written with humor and reflective musings, Nimoy delivers a great story of how he and the character he plays, Spock, became one. Read by the author himself, the intermittent dialogue sessions between Spock and Nimoy are hilarious and thought provoking. A must read for any serious Trekkie fan.

The legacy of Spock

This book is an outstanding personal and candid performance by my childhood hero Leonard Nimoy aka Mr. Spock of the Star Ship Enterprise. It is a very candid view into the inner most deepest feelings and thoughts of one of the great actors of the twentieth century who by his hard work and perseverance landed the role of Spock; the original alien who was part of the legendary ship the USS Enterprise and her esteem crew and her ostentatious captain portrayed by none other than William Shatner.

It was an absolute delight for me to hear from Mr. Niños his true feelings not only about the character who became an iconic figure in Star Trek lore but about the man behind the legend.

I wish Mr. Nimoy a sincere good bye and may he rest in God's eternal peace and love .

I loved “Spock,” & of course his creator, “Leonard Nimoy.”

I’m a product of the early 60s, and so Star Trek has been a part of my life from childhood. I never get tired of watching an good episode. Much like Leonard Nimoy indicates, it’s the storylines, and the message that is drives Star Treks longevity. Now that Mr. Nimoy has moved on, we have his work to look back upon and enjoy. It is comforting to know he has left a legacy that will always be with us. Thank you Leonard Nimoy for never settling and always staying true to yourself. I am convinced you are happy and still “living long and prospering.”

Where no memoir has gone before

Loved this book, I learned a lot and I like Star Trek and Spock even more for it. Since Leonard Nimoy narrates it, it makes it 1000 times better
