This was such a good story. Very uplifting for cat owners. We hear so many good things about dogs that it's nice to read a good cat story.
I'm very touched by the story of Dewey, and very glad that I got this audiobook. The reader is really good, and the story is very touching, inspirational, and of course tragic as it chronicles the entire life of Dewey including his eventual death. Prepare to shed a few tears, but you will enjoy the ride.
I don't know. I think i would have enjoyed the print edition too.
I loved the way Dewey interacted with the library patrons.
This book does have a sad ending. The ending though does not ruin the book.
I am not a cat lover, my husband is highly alergic to cat dander. we have 4 dogs though, I am a very much an aninal lover, but Dewey touched my heart and I really loved the book.
A must read for every cat lover; a beautiful, moving story of an extraordinary cat that drew devotees from around the world. After you read the book you'll understand why, my only regret is I did not make the pilgrimage to see Dewey when he was still alive, in Iowa. Absolutely wonderful!
