Eric didn't ask to be a vampire. In fact he didn't even believe in them. Biting your own tongue with your fangs does a lot of convincing. Even so, being a part-time undead isn't as easy as you might think. It can let you hold down a day job, true, but sometimes the night "life" can be more than a little difficult, what with those bloodthirsty urges and predatory instincts kicking in.

Great appetizer!
I really enjoyed this book! I have always been a huge Batman. For everyone that can't wait to see the new Batman movie, this is a very good appetizer before we get the main course.

The Batman
Hella good story i really liked how it gave a pre-story. I know that’s the whole point but it answers a lot of my questions from the film. Definitely worth the credit.

The story and characterization are decent. I'd say the author is a real Batman fan. The writing is clunky at times. E.g., "He had to work alone" is shoehorned in there with no real segue. The performance is excellent. Overall, worth a couple hours.

just a great precursor to the new movie
I put it on at night and listen before bed and if you're going to see the new movie this sets the stage perfectly. it's just so interesting to understand the new Bruce from child to the batman.

Gets you pumped for the movie
It was a bit short which I think led to things feeling less exciting than they could have been. Some things weren’t expanded upon and suspense wasn’t really built up. It’s got enough Batman to be cool but leaves enough out to let the movie shine
