A 6-Week Artist’s Way Program

Julia Cameron has been teaching the world about creativity since her seminal book, The Artist’s Way, first broke open the conversation around art.

Now, in Write for Life, she turns to one of the subjects closest to her heart: the art and practice of writing.

Over the course of six weeks, Cameron carefully guides listeners step by step through the creative process. This latest guide in the Artist’s Way Series:

- Introduces a new tool and expands on powerful tried-and-true methods.

- Gently guides listeners through many common creative issues—from procrastinating and getting started, to dealing with doubt, deadlines, and “crazymakers.”

- Will help you reach your goals, whether your project is a novel, poetry, screenplay, standup, or songwriting.

With the learned experience of a lifetime of writing, Cameron gives listeners practical tools to start, pursue, and finish their writing project. Write for Life is an essential book for writers who have completed The Artist’s Way and are looking to continue their creative journey or new writers who are just putting pen to paper.

Exactly what I did not know that I needed!

Julia has become one of my favorite Authors since reading the Artist's Way in 2016. This is now her 3rd book that I own. Nothing or no one has been more instrumental in my writing career & perserverance. I have started my first novel since writing morning pages every day. I have also taken on freelance writing work, become a certified grant writer & am in the process of finally making a career change. I am forever grateful for God & Julia!

Inspiring

There are a lot of beautiful wisdom nuggets, distinctions and flow that allows for new ways of viewing one’s self as a creative being worthy of living a creative life. Thank you.

Saccharine reading

I purchased the Kindle version because I couldn’t bear the reader. Like being in Kindergarten and being read to by a teacher. Some of the info is helpful but I can’t continue listening. No refund either since I purchased it.

not for me

I appreciate the guidance for writing daily pages but am not supportive of the overwhelming religious ties to successful writing.

Just reread The Artists Way

This book was simply a rehashing of the successful Artists Way - but peppered with repetitive and boring accounts of the author looking out the window and name dropping some famous and sone obscure people who have thanked her for writing the Artists Way.

Narrator is cloying and distracting as she attempts to act out the text rather than just read it.

The Artists Way is great. If you’re looking for inspiration, reread that rather than wasting time on this.
