Great story that kept my attention 100% focus and concentrate.
The coincidence and power of love in the way that is described in the book
The intriging voice
When she went back looking for him no knowing exactly why
Have not read the print version.
Noah, he was so caring and never lost hope that during one of his visits, Allie would remember their life together.
Not only was the narrator excellent, there were also many times when background music would start playing at appropriate times during the story. It really added to the experience, and it is something that I had always hoped I would find in an audiobook. I really enjoyed this quick listen.
Movie > Book. The movie was beautiful! And the book was... disappointing. I actually think the love story in the movie was more touching. I felt like Sparks wrote the book as more of a businessman than an author, capitalizing on what he calculated that people would buy but didn't really put much feeling into it. There was almost no depth to the love story! I believe that this book went viral because of clever marketing, not because of its own merit.
Imagine a decently written story by a fourteen year old boy, who's never actually been in love and that's pretty much what you're going to get out of this book. If Sparks has been in love, he's keeping it to himself.
I have been listening for an hour now and it is soo boring. My commute to work is painful enough w/o adding a boring narrator to the mix. I will give it another shot on my way home but I seriously hope this gets better soon.
It's a nice book from Nicholas Sparks, it has a very disgusting love scene that narrated is even worse. Without this part the book is very good and transmit a strong message. The author could have spared the reader from a useless sex description ...
I saw the movie but I will always think the book, and now listening to the audio is so much better. I cried as hard, even harder, I felt the pain and felt the joy. Nicholas Sparks is an amazing man who has managed to capture all the emotions of the heart. I truly love him as an author..and he is probably my favorite. I would highly recommend this audio.
I read the book, listened to book and saw the movie. My favorite so far is the audio-version. Highly recommended. Much better than the rescue which I find a little far-fetched and overly gooey.
Having read two of his other books, I knew I could expect a beautiful romance from Sparks, and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the first half, even found it difficult to turn off, but the climax seemed to come too soon, and I found myself wondering, "What else can happen?" The story seemed to be over." Well, the second half went on and on and nothing else of consequence ever did happen. He seemed to be really stretching. Worse, the last half was overly sentimental, cliche, and redundant. I'd give the first half 5 stars and the second half one.
