Publisher's summary

Lisbeth Salander is a wanted woman. Two Millennium journalists about to expose the truth about sex trafficking in Sweden are murdered, and Salander's prints are on the weapon. Her history of unpredictable and vengeful behaviour makes her an official danger to society - but no-one can find her.

Mikael Blomkvist, Millennium magazine's legendary star reporter, does not believe the police. Using all his magazine staff and resources to prove Salander's innocence, Blomkvist also uncovers her terrible past, spent in criminally corrupt institutions. Yet Salander is more avenging angel than helpless victim. She may be an expert at staying out of sight - but she has ways of tracking down her most elusive enemies.

Good thriller

Almost as good as the first in the series--though what's with all the product placement!? A bit odd particularly given Larsson's political views. Still, it was an exciting listen and Saul Reichlin was once again an excellent reader. I look forward to the third in the series.

This was another great listen. I enjoyed it just as much as the first in the trilogy. There is lots of detail but it the book more interesting.

Saul Reichlin is excellent again as the narrator.

Great read,

Usually the second book is not as good as the first. This one was better, easy to imagine it all happening and made me eager to read the next one

Terrific narrator.

What made the experience of listening to The Girl Who Played with Fire the most enjoyable?

Saul Reichlin is an accomplished narrator, who makes all the characters believable.

Any additional comments?

I loved the thorough research that went into this and the other books of the trilogy, which made the whole story utterly convincing.
What a shame we will have no more of Steig Larsson's books!
