Disappointing

I expected more, it's Ellen! I don't think I laughed much at all. Would not recommend.

I absolutely love this book! Ellen cracks me up!

I didn't even want to pause it, I just kept laughing. I was having a horrible day until I listened to her book. Thanks a million Ellen, I really needed that!

My first audiobook and I am beyond impressed

I loved this book so much that I was really sad it was over. I Lol'd, and even snorted a few times.

Ellen set the bar high. Come on other authors....show me what you've got!

Relief

Even though Ellen wrote this in 2011 I selected it now in 2018 because I needed something to pull me out of the negative depressing scary reality that’s part of our current condition in the United States.

For the time I spent listening to Ellen I was happy and my spirits were lifted.

Hilarious

Laughed out load several times, even in public (so people probably thinks I'm crazy now). It's a lovely book by Ellen, and you really feel that it's written by her about her. All stars!

Repetition repetition repetition

Ellen's humor and narrating style make this easy to listen to. However, I felt like a lot of the chapters was her going on tangents. She tried to portray herself that way, but it got old. Admittedly some were very funny, but it got got old and made it hard for me to believe she had a real purpose in writing the book. Throughout she does give life lessons she's learned which are helpful. In conclusion there are really good chapters, and a lot of "where are you going with this?" chapters.

Absolutely entertaining

Kept me smiling the entire thing. Ellen has such a great perspective on life. Love!

Love Ellen, but this was a bit boring

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Considering I was just commuting anyway, sure. It kept me company. If it were to take me away from anything productive, I would say not.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I liked the tiny insights I got into Ellen's home life with Portia. The least interesting aspect were the completely random tangents.

Have you listened to any of Ellen DeGeneres’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not.

Could you see Seriously...I'm Kidding being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

sure, but i'll probably just recommend them this book, if they are looking for something to pass time i guess.

i love Ellen, but i thought the tone was a bit 'dead' from time to time, i guess she really is more fun to watch

I have never laughed so hard while listening or reading a book in my life! It's unending and I am sure you would love it too!
