"I've experienced a whole lot the last few years, and I have a lot to share. So I hope that you'll take a moment to sit back, relax, and enjoy the words I've put together for you in this book. I think you'll find I've left no stone unturned, no door unopened, no window unbroken, no rug unvacuumed, no ivories untickled. What I'm saying is, let us begin, shall we?"

I love Ellen, but wow. This book is basically all the things that were probably cut from her other books. No rhyme or reason, just a bunch of nonsense. To top it off, she sounds so bored. Really really really disappointing
I would rank this book 5 STAR.
I like the way Ellen narrates the story to the listener. To me it just catches my attention. I find that this book is portable, no matter where you are in the world, in the living room, bathtub, beach or in the bus you will be able to relate to the story and enjoy the book.
Listening to Ellen is listening to Ellen she is funny and playful in her speech as usual.
I actually loved the topic on "Stuff" it made me think of my life and really many other chapters that I can relate to think more about my life and it really moved me.
I would have liked to learn more about Ellen's life.
I love Ellen but this was pretty painful to get through. One chapter was just random sounds...bloop bleep bam etc... It was pretty rambling and I didn't get a clear picture of what she was going for.
My only issue with the book, agreeing with some other reviews, was there wasn't much story. If you're looking to learn anything about Ellen- you won't. Or if you're looking to hear some stories- you won't. It's not an essay or memoir format so much as just Ellen being Ellen. I found it absolutely hilarious. It's comparable to her stand-up specials in jokes and performance. DEFINITELY entertaining and laugh out loud hilarity. I recommend it overall.
Funny, creative, easy to listen to
I never had a book have me laugh several times per chapter. Wait, change that to loud giggling every few lines. It's absolutely hilarious and light.
The book felt like a standup routine. I love Ellen's humour and I loved this book!
Ellen is amazing, hilarious, and clever. This book is lacking, even with all of her clever lines, it was lacking substance. Came off like a book of randomly places jokes.
I hope her earlier books are better.
She has some good lines, makes me wish I could make jokes as interesting as hers.
Fun, light and refreshing.
Ellen, because is a biographical book.
Ellen is an extremely funny person, and she has a pretty funny voice. It felt as if she was doing stand-up (which she was great at).
I laughed, a lot.
Cute, silly, warm
Yeah, I found myself repeating parts of it to friends. I'm not sure I would recommend listening to the entire thing, but there were parts that made me chuckle.
No, it worked out nicely for when I would drive, once or twice a week, to my boyfriends house an hour away. I didn't lose anything when I paused it and started it up again a few days later.
I love Ellen DeGeneres...and I was very excited that she was reading her own book. The story itself rambled on from one stream of thought to the next, none of which were very interesting.
Her tone was drab, the moments she went off on tangents (one involved me having to listen to her eating an apple) were awful.
I was incredibly disappointed.
There were a couple funny moments, and some good points, but they were few and far between.
