"I've experienced a whole lot the last few years, and I have a lot to share. So I hope that you'll take a moment to sit back, relax, and enjoy the words I've put together for you in this book. I think you'll find I've left no stone unturned, no door unopened, no window unbroken, no rug unvacuumed, no ivories untickled. What I'm saying is, let us begin, shall we?"

I really liked the message that Ellen puts out there to people of all ages it really touched my heart every single word. I really recommend it. Also Ellen is just a hilarious human being... I don't know what I would do with out her. Thank you Ellen tonight I will have a beer in your honor♡
Seriously Entertaining Audiobook
This is narrated by one of my all time favorite people (one is Ellen DeGeneres, the other is Betty White).
I love Ellen.
Ellen makes you laugh and makes you cry. I recommend watching one of her videos on mondays. You'll thank me later. She is perhaps known as that gay tv show host. She is so much more. To me, she is a role model (see the long review for details).
This is an audiobook, where she narrates a book she wrote about random stuff. I mean really random stuff. And it has a bit of everything in it. In a true Ellen style, it has both the goofy and the serious. Both the inspirational and the laid back stuff. It's three hours of pure enjoyment that left a goofy smile on my face rushing here to write this. I highly recommend it. And in fact, I would advise to listen to random bits here and there. One chapter today and another tomorrow.
Absolutely yes! And then again, and again!
I don't know exactly what I expected of this piece of literary humour. That it was funny probably. I don't believe I laughed once while reading this. Most of the listening time was spent wondering whether DeGeneres was actually serious or kidding. Maybe that was the point of the book.
Some people might like it. I didn't hate it, but wasn't really impressed with it either. It is just a little blah. A piece of filler in the world.
I think that the take away of this book is: live life happy. And, a great way to do that is by laughing. To that end, listen (or read) this book at least 15 minutes a day. It can be your happy meditation time. Because, there's no way you can partake of the book and NOT be amused. It's just that good.
I have heard her tell way more entertaining stories. I would rather her tell true stories/experiences. Or actually tell jokes.
Not funny. I always enjoy listening to Ellen. I purchased this for a road trip, thinking it would be very entertaining. Not the case.
Narrated, yes. Written, I would try.
Be you! Way better!
Let me first say, I love Ellen and was very excited to listen to her book. But I think I half-smiled twice, and it was very disappointing. I got the feeling maybe she was under contract to do another book, didn't really want to, so just rambled for a few hours about nothing to fulfill her obligation.
Another great listen from Ellen. Several laugh out loud moments. She mixes funny stories with just a touch of seriousness. Makes you want to be her best friend.
