Very Enttertaining

I loved this audiobook. It was filled with all kinds of fun facts about Madonna and was an interesting perspective. The narration is a little boring and monotone, but the stories keep you going.

From one point of view

I enjoyed the boom to hear the different perspective. I wish Christopher wasn’t upset when writing this as I’m sure
It caused family strain. Interesting info to just sit with and pondering whats the truth. I believe we all have our own perspectives and feelings and that’s what you get. The added bonus additional info on their childhood.

Great Book

This was a really good book. I don't know why there was so much criticism about this book...as if he stabbed Madonna in the back. I don't think he did at all. I think he was fair but it's not like he revealed a bunch of "deep dark secrets". It was well told and quite honest. And, as is the case with ALL the varieties of biographies, it was definitely made better by the fact that HE narrates!

Real Insight!!!

What did you love best about Life with My Sister Madonna?

Learning how Madonna thinks. Finding out that much of what she wants you (the public) is a fraud. This is more than something coming from her brother. This is coming from a brother that she trusted in and confided in and really lets the facts be known.

What other book might you compare Life with My Sister Madonna to and why?

Have you listened to any of Christopher Ciccone’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Very entertaining.

Any additional comments?

Real emotions

I liked the book and felt it was easy to follow. Listening to her brother's presentation it felt quite real and emotional. The perfect length.

Juicy, Revealing, full of Suprises

This as a quick listen that I really enjoyed. I've LOVED Madonna for years but this book comes as no suprise. IT's always interesting to get the "inside scoop" on the life of a famous person. I can understand why this book was at once painful and cathartic for Christopher to write. Here's to a job well done!

Interesting book

I was expecting a rather nasty tell-all book but feel that Christopher Ciccone gave a very balanced and fair portrayal of Madonna and his relationship with her. I was even surprised at how he seemed to defend some of her actions. Christopher narrates the book himself which makes it more interesting although his delivery is quite monotone. Overall, it's an interesting book but if you are looking for any gossip like details, you won't find it here. It's a mature read and one which is good for passing a quiet afternoon.

Absolutely Entrancing!

Wow! This book was so much better than I thought! I literally listened to it all in just 3 days! For being a huge Madonna fan for most of my life, Chrstopher's perspective was refreshing and unexpectedly profound.

After listening to this, I have a great deal of respect for him and realize that the things most people admire Madonna for: her confidence, ambition, and drive, have all have come at a cost of her humanity. She treats him horribly and I'm sure it's karma that he released this book. The world now can see who Madonna really is behind the mask of her fame.

All in all, Christopher Ciccone comes across as a highly intelligent and cultured guy, his words flowing effortlessly.

My thought upon finishing it left me highly curious to learn more about him, sans the shadow of his sister. I hope he writes some more and would love to hear an update as to what's happened to him since, Madonna or otherwise.

Great book!!

Lots of bitterness

I find it funny that Christopher seems to try so hard to make Madonna a villain when in truth he's just as guilty of trying to use her back. What's the old saying don't lend money if you expect to get it back. Don't wk for family if u ex spect to be paid fairly.
