The stories. Awkward teenage-years and lack-of-hookup-skills stories are always entertaining to me. It was also interesting to hear how she got her start with Matt & Ben.

Why do boys take so long to put on their shoes?

What does Mindy Kaling and Michael Schur bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mindy's voice, which is extremely familiar, from the office. When there's a dialogue, Michael does the other voice so that's useful. I did not like that she mentioned pictures that are not included with the audiobook.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Yes! I have listened to it many times and continue to enjoy. Mindy does an excellent job to writing about herself in a funny yet informing manner.

A great listen for any age, this book was sweet and heartfelt. Definitely good for any fans of autobiographies

I may be too old for a book of this type. I need more substance and not spend my time listening to rambling

The realness shared is amazing, and it's delivered in the most hilarious way possible. I love a girl who can make fun of herself!

Funny!

I had lots of laughs and smiles while listening to this book. I especially liked her thoughts on what she thinks are the funniest movie or TV comedy scenes of all times. It brought those funny moments back up for me and I had some good laughs!

You will love this!

It's like getting to spend a whole day with Mindy (or longer if you manage to not to binge-listen to the whole thing! I laughed so hard and also realized how many good comedic performances I now need to see (her list is awesome). If you're a fan of the Office, SNL, or were born before the Internet, you will love this (that's everyone right??).

Mindy Kaling's Just Like Me.

Going into this audiobook, I knew next to nothing about Mindy Kaling. However, over the past couple of years I've heard a lot of people bragging on this book and how funny it was and how much they enjoyed it. And they were right. She is hilarious. She's also super normal. I felt like we would be friends if we knew each other. I also felt like there were parts of the books that would have been funnier if I knew something about Mindy Kaling or about comedy in general. I don't watch SNL or The Office or comedy shows or movies. I did laugh. I found myself agreeing with her and thinking that this girl knows what being a normal girl is all about.
