Specific AND Broad-reaching

😉…although I’ve come to hate hearing the word NICHE mis-pronounced since someone clued me in that it sounds like nitch. LOL, before that, I’d only read the word and heard other only-readers say it.
I think I’ll get the physical copy too to easily access the great advice.

A must for any artist at any stage of their career

Maria reads with such conviction and it becomes so personal that you feel like you are having a coaching session with her. I learnt so much from her wisdom and feel slightly more confident in my art as a result. I always thought that thrre was no money in art but this book has helped change my mindset and showed me that there are many ways to make a living from it.

Fabulous and Practical!!!!

Maria Brophy does an amazing job breaking common sense applications and ideas down to practical steps that work for artists!
It was easy to listen to while I worked in my studio and inspired me to value my art and the true “business of art”.

it was ok

i struggled to finish .it all seems to good to be true and if it is to good to be true. then maybe it isn't.but ill read it again and maybe something will click for me in my head.other than that it was a good read.

If you are an Artist you need this book

I have read many books for artists on how to run an art business and this book is one of the best! Maria and her husband Drew have a very successful art business and she shares everything she has learned over the years about licensing, copywriting your art, pricing, and so much more. She shares information on negotiating contracts with clients and galleries. All of this with dignity and respect for all parties involved. My suggestion is buy the audiobook and the book, listen to it with the book in hand but make sure you have your highlighter and page markers, because you will want them. Listening to the book is like sitting down with a really good friend who knows so much about running an art business and all she wants to do is share with you all of her knowledge and wisdom.

Worth the read to push boundaries

As a long time artist and business owner this book will be pivotal for the future success as an entrepreneur. It has excited me and opened my eyes to many business methods and opportunities in the art world!
