If it weren’t for all the sexy scenes peppered thru the story, this would very easily fit in with a tween goosebumps story line. Don’t get me wrong, I like the plot and set up...I just find it funny how much it feels like RL Stein was in the writers head

Didn’t love it at first, but that quickly changed
This is a very nostalgia-centric story that is without a doubt more entertaining if you have ever read any of the Animorph books, which I have.
That being said, it didn’t seem like I was going to enjoy it as I listened to the first chapter or two, primarily because I have a harder time with stories where it’s difficult to root for the protagonist.
However, I decided to keep giving it a chance and was rewarded as I reached the second half of the story, which ends up to be very entertaining, immersive and at times even nail-biting.
