First, vampires in space. And now...zombies.

Really?

Jebediah and the others are trying to get over the horrors they faced in deep space, and now this.

It’s been five years, and the Amish colony on Miller’s Resolve has finally gotten settled. Jeb and Sarah have a son. Elder Samuel is happy not being in charge. Darly has a private practice. And Greels is out of jail at last.

But when a mysterious ship from space arrives on Resolve, it unleashes a horde of undead that might spell the end of the survivors and their dreams of peace.

Will the specters of the past save them, or seal their fate?

Suspense, intrigue, and a downright fun!

This is book 2 in the series and it kept me engaged and curious about what was coming next from the start. I had heard about this series years ago and honestly thought it sounded so far out there that there was no way it could be good. Over the years I have heard someone here and there mention what a great and interesting series this was and curiosity finally god the best of me and I'm glad it did.

Starting out before I read the first book I couldn't fathom how any author could come up with a plausible storyline that would make this story work, yet Nietz did. It is masterfully written and incredibly plausible scenario that was not only fun to read, but kept me guessing and thinking about the story, what had happened and what might happen next.

Book 2 Amish Zombies from Space doesn't disappoint and keeps the story going in a new and exciting direction. I can't wait to see what happens in book 3. Nietz is a fantastic story teller and weaves the plots and subplots together with perfection while keeping you on the edge of your seat.

What an incredible series, I don't have enough good things to say about these books, my only regret is that I didn't read them sooner.

On to book 3!

Awesome! Great story telling excellent narrator

Loved the complexity of the bio-tech mixed with the internal struggles of the Amish trying to live their faith

Science fiction as fun as the title

Kerry Nietz, author of Amish Vampires in Space has done it again. Amish Zombies is a great sci fi story with a fast-paced plot and fun characters; many of them are introduced in AViS with their stories continuing here. If you haven’t read Amish Vampires listen to it first, and then come back to Amish Zombies. In classic Nietz style there’s a good dose of humor.
Randy Streu’s narration emphasizes the humor and makes this strong read an immersive experience.

Even in the future Amish is trending.

Amish Zombies From Space is a direct sequel to Amish Vampires in Space. I personally recommend reading them in order.

For a book that seems to be merely jumping on the Amish bandwagon, this novel has a lot to say about the current trend of "Romanticizing" the Amish lifestyle.

In the far future When Amishers have colonized their own planets, they are still plauged but onlookers and gawkers just trying to experience "a simpler time."

The Zombie aspect was very well done, grounded in science rather than supernatural origins.

It was great getting to watch the main protagonists try to learn the rules of Zombies, and I loved the way all the subplots and character stories came together at the climax.

Randy Stru is a fantastic narrator doing all the voices for the various characters.

meh - not for me

The title and description of this book caught my eye, but the story didn't catch my attention. It was interesting, but really slow. I listened to 3 hours before I gave up. The idea is really interesting, and the author includes lots of details and world building. The narrator was good, voicing different characters distinctly. But three hours in nothing had really happened.
