Finished this in a few short days as Marla’s provocative writing and riveting storytelling made it easy! She shares intimately & openly her path and how she discovered her gift of being a psychic medium. I was touched by her ability to be raw with personal details. Must Listen!

Marla's story is inspiring and relatable. I read the book when it first came out several years ago and decided to listen to it because it's read by the author. Hearing Marla read her story added a dynamic that I had not picked up on from reading it. I loved hearing Marla's voice, like hearing your best friend tell you the most exciting adventure of a story. It felt like I was right there with Marla, experiencing each moment just as she had. Worth your time and the money!

It was a good listen/read. I became emotional in the middle beginning in chapter 13. No idea why. it must have tapped into something.

Vulnerable account of pain turned into purpose!

Wow.This book has just opened an entire new world for me and the trajectory of my life. I don't know how, but I can sense I will be able to use this book as a milestone in my life when I look back to the time I read it. My biggest takeaway was the absolute humility and realness of the author. The world needs more women who model such authenticity!I just want to emulate her!! Sharing her own abuse as a child with such vulnerability was so brave. She takes you on a journey of her skepticism through each new spiritual experience she encounters, and all the while, it felt like it was reflecting my OWN skepticism. Yet in the end as she came to form her beliefs, and find her truth, so did I! ❤️‍🔥

I couldn’t put this book down.

Telling the story about how psychic gifts are developed is like trying to catch lightning in a mason jar. And yet, Marla has somehow done it beautifully with honesty, skill, and grace. This book offers healing for people with psychic abilities that were born from childhood trauma, help for those who search for answers from beyond, and a glimpse at the entertainment business as well as the world of Spiritualism.

I found many “connections” to my own life and shared many laugh out loud moments as well as a few tearful ones as I binged listening to American Psychic.
