Publisher's summary

They say to never meet your heroes.... But what’s the rule on falling in love with them?

Raven Winters has been infatuated with Nicholas Potter since the day she tacked his poster to her bedroom wall. So when she discovered the famous drummer was her college roommate’s cousin, it seemed the stars had aligned.

Their attraction was instant, and their chemistry explosive. Unfortunately, Nick wasn’t ready to abandon his rock star lifestyle.

Over the years, she’s become his best friend - with benefits - and favorite source of telephonic relief when the groupies backstage weren’t quite what he was looking for. Those late-night drunken calls kept her holding onto hope.

But all that patience is about to pay off - why else would he invite her to join him on tour, if not to finally confess his feelings?

Too bad, the universe has other plans. It looks like drummer boy’s reckless lifestyle has finally caught up to him - and Raven’s the one stuck toting the diaper bag.

One Click for this Rockstar!!

I loveee a good rockstar romance, and this one is an amazing story!! Drummer boy Nick just found out he has 2yr old twins, eek. He calls in his bff Raven, who has had a MAJOR crush on him since forever to help with this new life he has. She is hoping that she will fit into his life as more than just a friend...

This friends to lovers rockstar romance is a MUST from Heather Orgeron. Just like most of Heather's other books this one is HILARIOUS too!!

Narration by Joe Arden and Kelsey Navarro. Joe was a perfect drummer boy, bringing all the emotions and hilarious moments alive. Kelsey was a new to me narrator and did not disappoint, she was perfect for the role of Raven. She fit together with Joe perfect to bring this pair alive.

Definite must listen

So before you listen to this you have to listen/read Pour Judgment first because it will give you more of Nick and Ravens backstory. Plus that book is freakin awesome!!!

I have to say in the beginning I was like ok Nick is a complete jerk and Raven is a pushover. If you feel the same stick with the book, don’t give up.

I have to say the second half of the book was better than the first (probably the way it’s supposed to be right? Lol) but I’m glad I kept going. It was great and It will most likely be a multi listen book for me. Joe Arden and Kelsey Navarro did great narrating!!! All in all I really enjoyed it!!

Surprising

I wasn’t really sure what to expect when I started this book and I was surprised at the turn that it took. Watching Nicolas become a single father and adapt his lifestyle to such a dramatic change was very interesting. The more I got into the story the more I found myself falling for the characters and hoping for a HEA.

The end

The beginning of this book really pissed me off. And I really thought I wouldn’t finish it because of Nicks BS. But, and it’s a big BUT, the last 10 chapters were so worth it! You do eventually grow to understand and root for Nick. And when he finally gets his ish together and realizes he loves those kids…it’s worth the amount of times he makes you furious in the first part of the book. The epilogue itself is so beautiful it almost made me cry and coming from me that’s a huge compliment to the author because I’m extremely hard to make cry. Ellie’s letter to Raven was just the best way possible to end this story. Kudos to this author for making me feel every emotion possible and making me feel them hard. Fantastic book. Trust me everyone stick it out through the beginning I promise it’s worth it.

Emotional story

Having read or listened to a few books from Heather M Orgeron I couldn’t wait to dive into Alcohol You Later ( I just love the title of this book). From the first chapter I was riveted to
Raven Winters and rock star Nicholas Potter’s story.

When I first read the blurb for this book I was intrigued and it was everything that I was expecting and so much more. These two have been friends with benefits for some time but that relationship is about to become complicated in ways neither of them expected.

From the moment they first met, there was intense chemistry between them which quickly turned into a friends with benefits relationship. However for Raven it has always been more; she is deeply in love with her handsome drummer friend.

The road they travel is full of twits and turns and I was cheering for these two to get the happily ever after that they deserve. The growth that both Raven and Nicholas went through throughout this story was amazing.

There were moments where I laughed out loud and moments that brought me to tears in this well written, emotional story that ticked all the boxes for me.

Both Joe Arden and Kelsey Navarro did a good job with their performances bringing the right amount of pain and emotion to the narration and did the story and the charcters justice.

Steamy, sweet, and heartfelt!

Nick and Raven’s story has left me in a big ol’ pile of swoony gooey mess. Heather M. Oregeron turned up the steam and all the emotions in “Alcohol You Later” and I’m easily calling this one of my favorite books from 2022.

Nick is the drummer for the Rhett Taylor band and he has been best friends with benefits with Raven since the ABC days. Raven has fallen hard for the hot drummer but he has always been casual and wants the most from the road. But when a surprise times two is dropped into his life, past insecurities come to the surface and it makes Nick face the music about his past and his future.

Nick is just yumminess that I could not get enough of. I can totally get why Raven was captivated with him from the beginning. His charm and personality pulls you in but his vulnerability keeps you there. Raven is a firecracker and loves super hard. I love how she was Nick’s rock but also was the kick in the pants when he needed it. I loved having Rhett and Korie in the story and getting updates from them. Lyle is also a complete sweetie and I have my fingers crossed that we get a story from him.

I loved Kelsey Navarro and Joe Arden! They brought all the emotions to life! There are some tender moments in this story and they did such a great job. The perfect choices for Nick and Raven.
