Publisher's summary

Aidan MacTaggart is wickedly hot and on the hunt for a wife.

I've come to America with a mission and a plan - find the woman of my dreams by going to the same underground club where my older brother, Lachlan, met his wife. My plan might have some flaws. But they don't call me "Don Juan" MacTaggart for nothing. The lasses love me, and I know I can find my soul mate in Chicago.

Calli Douglas is everything I could want in a woman. She's bonnie, sexy, clever, and sweet. But she's also terrified of love and refuses to let me win her heart.

My solution? Follow her home to Michigan. Seduce her. And somehow, convince Calli to love me. We both have issues standing between us, but that will not stop me. Somehow, I will find my happy ending with the American lass who swears she can never love me.

Aidan in a Kilt is the second book in The Ballachulish Trilogy, a brand-new series based on the first three books in the best-selling Hot Scots series, reborn and retold from the heroes' perspectives.

Aidan MacTaggart

I am certain this thought crosses my mind every time I listen to a book in the Hot Scots world but right now, Aidan is my favorite MacTaggart. His silly plan to retrace his brother's steps to find an American wife is a hilarious premise. I love it when I read/listen to a book that makes me both laugh and cry. This one absolutely fit the bill.
Told completely from Aidan's POV which I loved. The alternate version of this story for Calli's POV is called Wicked in a Kilt. I really liked that story as well but I absolutely love getting the other side of the story.
Will Watt was a great choice to narrate. His Scottish access is fantastic and I hope to hear more from him in this series.

Sweet, funny, and super sexy

More Hot Scots in America looking for a bride, you say? Count me in! Aidan is a hopeless romantic with a secret who decides that coming to America like his brother, Lachlan, is exact;u what he needs to fix his life in shambles. In true MacTaggart fashion, when he wears his kilt to the club, thinking it is Kilt night (because Lachlan told him it was) it actually works out in his favor when he is mistaken for the stripper and pulled into a bachelorette party attended by Calli. She crosses his path with her walls firmly up. Their instant attraction and potential is palpable, but she is running away from anything resembling love. Good thing Aidan is very persistent (without being creepy). He breaks down her barriers and they find out just how well they fit together and how much they can repair the damage of the past if they can open up about their secrets. He is cheeky, adorable, sexy, and beautifully performed by Will Watt, who is one of my favorite narrators. This story is sweet, funny, and super sexy.

This story is entirely from Aidan’s point of view by Will, who seamlessly moves between accents, genders, characters just like the aural chameleon he is! You can get Calli’s side of the story in Wicked in a Kilt as part of the MacTaggart Brothers Trilogy.

I REALLY like Aiden!

Loving this one! Why? Because Aiden is sooo determined to make Calli his wife. I love how focused he is and how he helps deal with her issues. Calli is super secretive about her past and I was as anxious as Aiden to figure her out. Putting her “list” in front of Aiden is like waving a red flag in front of a bull. He just charges forward.

I love getting the low-down on all of Aidens family. It makes me anxious for their stories. Them picking on Rory..makes me anxious for his story. Plus when Aidens sister comes to America…crazy thing happen!

Will Watt! Narrator! I love him normally but he was the perfect choice for Aiden. This being from Aidens POV..its all Watt all the time! He portrays the caring and worrying wonderfully. I loved listening to him!

I couldn't

Aidan was so swoony throughout this entire book! He tried so hard to get Calli to fall in love with him despite her protests. He enjoys getting under her skin and proving her wrong. Really fun characters that each had rough pasts with their exes. I never listened to Calli’s POV book before, so now I think I need to hear her side of this sexy story.
I absolutely loved Will Watt in this book. He really did an amazing job with the characters, especially Aidan. Between Anna’s story and Will’s magical performance, you can’t go wrong! Absolutely fantastic!'

Aidan!!!

Anna Durand's Ballachlish Trilogy is so much fun! Hearing the male point of view as he seeks his wife is a blast. We met Lachlan in book one who met his American wife, and now Aidan would like to find his! When he goes to Chicago and sees Call for the first time, he knows she is the one. But it's not that easy! Though the attraction is palpable and the chemistry hot, she is not giving in so easy! She has a past that is holding her back and she is not about to give in and lose her heart to this Scot. Aidan is more than lovable. In a kilt, in a suit, he is romantic and utterly charming. I don't know how she can resist him! Calli definitely is stubborn, but she does see what she is missing, and it's impossible for her to resist his charm. This is a fun and lovable listen and I adored it!

Will Watt is our narrator and this man can read the phone book and make it fun! I love him! His Scottish accent is spot on, and he creates a magic around the story that sucked me in and held me the entire time! From Scottish male to American female with such ease, his story telling had me entertained for hours. It's a performance you do not want to miss!

Loved hearing Aidan's side of the story!

Oh, Aidan! Hearing your side of falling in love with Calli was such a treat!

Similar to Lachlan in a Kilt, this is a retelling of one of Anna Durand's early Hot Scots books, written from the male lead's perspective. Aidan, unlike Lachlan, is looking for a wife, and when he meets Calli by chance in Chicago, he knows he found his one true love.

But.... Calli needs some convincing! Aidan is flirty, funny, swoony and makes for a great romcom male lead. He believes in love, true, lasting love. He wants happiness, and he uses his flirty and romantic nature to get it. Calli's past leaves her doubtful that true love exists, but Aidan wins her over in the end.

Every Night Should Be Kilt Night!

I love the Ballachulish series! Literally following his brother Lachlan’s footsteps, Aiden is determined to meet his American bride! Aiden has travelled to Chicago from The Highlands ready for a fresh start and letting fate guide him towards his HEA. Known as the “Don Juan” of the MacTaggart clan, he is ready to give up his so-called wicked ways and find love.

Callie is celebrating her cousin’s impending nuptials, set on enjoying a night out. When a case of mistaken identity throws these two searching souls together, sparks…and maybe bodies fly.

I enjoyed hearing Aiden and Callie’s love story from Aiden’s point of view. Anna Durand has taken a fresh approach to the MacTaggarts’ HEAs by giving us the brothers’ perspectives. If you have read Wicked In A Kilt, you know the bones of the story of Aiden and Callie. Even so, the switched perspective is fun, flirty, and oh-so-steamy!! Aiden in a Kilt takes you on a jet-setting adventure from Dance Ardor to Michigan to the Highlands of Scotland. Get ready for a clever, funny, hot as hell read because every night is kilt night with the MacTaggarts!

Will Watt gives a stunning performance as Aiden MacTaggart. His Scottish accent is perfection! Will’s deep, gravely voice is absolutely delightful to listen to for hours. His range of voices is spot-on.

I like this Series!

Aidan in a Kilt is the second book in the Ballachulish Trilogy, and the retold version of Wicked in a Kilt, the second book in the Hot Scots Series. This version is told from Aidan's POV, and it's amazing! I have listened to the original story, and I loved to listen to this new version with the new perspective. This version is even more enjoyable. Will Watt did a fantastic job with the narration. I love his voice! He definitely is perfect as Aidan. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Rory in a Kilt, the third book in the Trilogy, and the new version of Scandalous is a Kilt, retold from Rory's POV.
