Loved Story! Loved Jacob Morgan

Beautifully written, deep character development, performance that sucked me right in and had me escaping my own life immersed in the story. Jacob Morgan had a genius performance. I fell in love with the character Cage and wanted to move in with him and his daughter. The kid voice was outstanding. The banter on the text messages was so funny!! HIGHLY recommend!!

Soooo Good!

This was a great end to the series. This one made me cry. It was so sweet and cute and funny. I loved it! Voice actors were just as awesome as the rest of the s series. I will definitely relisten to the entire series someday soon!

As always with any book Laura writes, dropped everything to read this one. This book was just so good! I loved the romance, the small town family dynamics Laura writes so dang well, and the appearance of all the couples from this series and Honey Mountain. I had waited for Cage’s book since book one and it did not disappoint! This was a great book to wrap the series up! Can’t wait for the next series!

The connection between the books and the family dynamics

It was all good . I lived the comedy aspect of the books and the family’s dynamics between the siblings.

I am in love with this entire series

I could not wait for Cage's story! Gracie stole my heart and Presley is amazing!! This is a series that I never want to end. The most wonderful characters and humor. The narrators were absolutely phenomenal!!!

Second Chance

Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder did a great job narrating an emotional second chance romance. Two people who face their past and live in the moment with an upcoming expiration date. JM makes all the group texts and all the other comical parts frickin hilarious.

My favorite in the series and a wonderful ending

I was looking forward to Cage's book from the beginning and my expectations were met one hundred percent. This was the perfect ending to an amazing small town romance series.

I was itching to know why Cage and Presley didn't work out the first time. In the end it came down to right person wrong time. Cage is 100% one of the best fictional single dads to the cutest little kid ever, Grace.

Once thing I really enjoyed about this series (besides the epic family group chats) is the way that the female main characters grow so much but do not change the parts of their personality that make them who they are. Presley has a beautiful journey in learning what she wants in life. The moments where she and Grace were together melted my heart!

This book had the banter, spice, and humor that I grew to love in the other books as well.

I listened to the audio and while it wasn't my favorite audiobook in the series I still really enjoyed listening.

Cute and Gorgeous Second Chance Romance

After the storm is right person wrong time and two very stubborn people who loved each other that made decisions that kept them apart until they decided to just be together. Cage and Presley never loved anyone except each other, but their timing was never right. Cage is now a single dad to Grace and Presley is newly divorced and has come back to take care of her dad. The spark between the two of them has never fizzled and they work through all of their problems to be together. This book is very cute. The romance is solid, and the relationship between Grace and Presley is gorgeous. This was a perfect second chance romance, grumpy/sunshine romance and ending to the nearly perfect small town series.

Emotional, fun and steamy single dad romance

I have been waiting for grumpy Daddy Cage’s book and I devoured it once I started it. “After the Storm” is an emotional, fun, and heartfelt second chance single Dad romance that wrapped up the Cottonwood Cove Series perfectly.

Cage is a veterinarian and a single Dad to his daughter, Gracie. His days are busy, and his nights are lonely. When his first and only love, Presley, comes back to Cottonwood Cove to help care for recovering father, he has mixed feelings on it. Presley is successful lawyer but isn’t happy overall. She’s in the process of divorcing and just needs a reset. Cage and Presley still have many unresolved feelings and a chemistry that never fizzled out after they broke up years ago.

I love a grumpy single Dad and Cage was grumpy perfection. After losing Presley when he was younger, he built a wall around himself. The only person allowed behind the wall was Gracie who is truly the light of his life. Even with the wall built, he has such a big heart and is a sweet guy. I loved Presley’s independence and how she dropped everything to help her Dad. She’s so genuine and I love how she fell instantly for Gracie. They had a special bond from the beginning, and it just shined throughout the story. Gracie is such a cute kid and such a great addition to the story. And I loved all the text exchanges between Cage and siblings, they had me cracking up.

I loved listening to Jacob Morgan and Emma Wilder narrate Cage and Presley, they were the perfect choices. Jacob narration as the grumpy, protective, and sweet Cage was perfect and he has such a cute kid voice. I loved Emma as Presley, she brought all her emotions alive perfectly.

Amazing!!

Can these narrators do us wrong? Absolutely not! Emma Wilder and Jacob Morgan bring Cage and Presley’s story to life with their performance. You feel every emotion in their narrating… it plays out in your mind like a movie. I don’t know how the author does it but she masterfully creates a town in which you don’t want to leave and characters that stay in your heart. This is a must listen to audiobook!
