Publisher's summary

Have you recently lost your husband? Are there days when you feel so terribly alone—and that no one else could possibly understand?

Author Gayle Roper understands. As a recent widow herself, Gayle writes, So who am I now that there's only one place at the table...one pillow with a head dent, one damp towel after a shower. There's only one toothbrush in the holder. The seat is never left up anymore. I can still write Mrs. in front of my name, but I'm no longer in a marriage relationship. You need two people for a marriage and there's only me.

Is there only you? Then join Gayle as she draws on her emotions during the loss of her beloved husband, Chuck, and offers you a compassionate devotional to encourage you through your darkest days. Gayle knows a widow's pain is deep. But she also knows God's love is deeper still, and it's in His love you'll find your deepest comfort.

Uplifting, funny, and a message of hope

Gayle Roper walks you through her experience as a widow in an uplifting, humorous, and inspiring journal that I think would help anybody going through the loss of a spouse. There were so many things I never would think of affecting her life after her husband's death and some of these things were good for other people to think about too. It made me cry for sure, but it also gave me hope and prayers to help people get through an awful time. Even the reader's voice was uplifting and warm and wrapped like a cozy comforter around me.

Best book on being a widow I have read.

Loved the narrator and the content was if I wrote it. Glad for all the scripture references!

Such good insightful information

There was nothing I disliked. Her journey aligns with so much I’m experiencing after only 5 months of losing my husband.

A soothing and compassionate map of grief

A Widow's Journey was beautifully written and read and I ended up needing it like a daily devotional. Even her voice was warm and gentle and healing. No body can take away that pain but knowing that it is a Journey and have some one feel your pain and loneliness is healing. This is the best audiobook ever for some one going through pain of losing a husband or wife. You have a friend to be there with you.

This was a beautiful story

I'm a newly widow of four months and I needed this. I cried so many times, shook my head in agreement many times. It is my story. Beautifully shared and extremely helpful. Bravo
