Publisher's summary

Do you trust God?

Meg Apperson grew up having a relationship with Jesus, and she always trusted God. But it wasn't until her daughter Avery - a miracle in so many ways - was born with a litany of life-threatening birth defects that she began to fully understand what it means to trust Jesus with everything.

In this heartbreakingly beautiful memoir, you'll learn how a mother fought for her child, her family, and even herself as she grappled with the weight of failure - of letting down everyone around her and feeling let down by God.

But in the midst of the fight, through heavy grief, she not only discovered her own voice - she discovered that God is both good and faithful.

If you have ever experienced grief, suffering, or pain; if God has ever asked you to surrender more than you thought possible; if you've ever questioned how God is at work in the darkness...Sky Full of Stars is for you.

This book will show you that when everything around you is dark, peace can be found in the suffering. You'll discover new ways to rely on God's trustworthiness.

Capturing

What a wonderful story. I have also been through trauma with a medically fragile daughter and these words are relatable and encouraging!

Captivating, Healing, Essential

Meg reveals the hidden crevices of our souls in her masterpiece “A sky full of stars.”
Do not read this for her, read it for you. Her words will change you my friend, and you will be the better for it.
Emily Ellet nailed the narration. I know Meg, and I felt like she was the one reading to me.
Time well spent.

Gave my hope and trust in the Lord in a very dark time

This book was extremely easy to listen to and I couldn’t wait to continue it when I had to stop. It truly gave me perspective about a dark situation I am in and trust in the Lord with my child. Highly recommend

Amazing

I started listening to this book right before some things would happen to my family. God knew I needed to hear Meg’s words before we walked through that crisis. Very meaningful and amazing book.

I am NOT religious, and this book was INCREDIBLE!

A Sky Full of Stars took me on a journey through pain, uncertainty, and ultimately hope. I cried while listening; I shouted in excitement; and I was hooked onto every single word.

Meg Apperson does a great job in telling the story of her family’s struggles and triumphs. She gives us an intimate view into her life, holding nothing back and being so raw and real that it feels like we were allowed to be a part of it. She organically weaves in flashbacks to her past that give us a better understanding as to who she is and where she’s come from. Her faith in God is refreshing, and never judgmental. She asks questions that few Christians are willing to admit. Meg Apperson is an incredible storyteller, and clearly an incredible human being. There’s so much more I could add, but I’ll let the reader/listener find out for themselves. All I can say is that any time I see a pair of beautiful eyelashes, I will forever think of a beautiful (and brilliant) girl named Avery.

Emily Ellet does an incredible job in narrating Ms Apperson’s words. I definitely recommend the audio format if you don’t have time to physically read the book. She evoked emotion, strength, and the fierceness of a mother fighting for her child to survive. I’m not gonna lie, I’ll probably re-listen to this beautiful book very very soon.

Thank you Meg Apperson. I look forward to seeing what you do next. =)
