Great story
Loved the suspense and romance in this story- mostly how the characters learned to trust God in the most difficult times of life.
I didn’t care for how the narrator read it however- I pushed through because the story was so good.

Enjoyed the story!
I have always loved the real story about the Harvey girls and Tracey does a good job with incorporating the details of the Harvey girls. This story about Samone kept me on edge, and was very good the whole way through! I enjoyed it very much!

Overcomer!
The human spirit to survive harsh, degrading circumstances, cruel influences in a young life, sprinkled with unfamiliar kindnesses ( when deciding to break free) defines this young girl's life. Definitely a good read to press into .

How men in earlier times treated women and children
The horrible treatment children and women have endured throughout history and those whom push forward with strength; when faced with emotional, psychological and physical scars. The storyline is deep but filled with discovery about self, healing and love. The narration and performance was exceptional and brought the characters alive. Loved how the book showed how God can intervene and provide the true beauty to life.
