Escape from Reality
While Maddie James seems to have a talent for writing, the plot of A Perfect Escape needed a huge reality check.
Megan Thomas, after 6 years of marriage, realizes that her husband Bradford is actually a violent criminal and plans to escape, ala Sleeping with the Enemy. However, too many things Megan did were irrational or just plain stupid.
There were so many things any intelligent person would do, starting with buying a throw-away cell phone, contacting the FBI or US Marshalls (in another city) and doing an TV interview. Hell, make a U-tube video and post it.
No, Megan just happened to find a lookalike double at the mall, and pays the immature young woman to impersonate her for a few days. Megan, however, did not tell the greedy woman that her husband was a cold blooded killer - not smart.
This plot might have worked 25-50 years ago but not in 2014.

The story was good for a quick read however the narrator can not do a man’s voice every time she tried it sounded like a teenage boy which made it weird.
