Publisher's summary

Every new author (and a lot of veteran authors) have the same problem when it comes to action scenes. They have this idea for a big battle scene or car chase - but most don't know where to start! I'll show you.

We'll lay out classic actions scenes, like a car crash or a massive medieval sword clash between armies, and see how they are done. We will analyze the writing style you use in action scenes that isn't utilized anywhere else in your story.

Car chase or medieval battle, we can create a process to follow. While every action scene is different, many have similar foundations. Learn how to write amazing action scenes and take your stories to new heights!

Very good advice with bit too much example

An enjoyable and informative audio book. I thought the advice given was very useful. Old dog learned a few from this one. Downside was approximately a half hour blow by blow description of the movie Braveheart. The narration seemed forget it was to teach and instead got into enjoyment of movie scene a bit too much. Still a good listen with valuable info.

Not Recommended. Details Below.

Part one involves a lot of commentary related to film and ideas of the author, little about writing. It comes off as filler, and parts of it were offensive as if the writer was declaring some sense of self-importance, superiority.

Please remember, this is your money you're going to pay to hear such nonsense.

Part two is a long, written description of the main battle scene of Braveheart. This consumes most of the time of this audiobook.

The writing is not good. Very boring and unimaginative. I almost couldn't finish it.

Don't believe me? Buy this audiobook and have a listen for yourself.

The final part, roughly the last twenty-five minutes, the author begins to discuss how to write the scene.

I'm not saying you cannot learn anything from this audiobook, but most of the information is basic and generic.

I cannot recommend this book. I can recommend for you to look at other How to Write Novels or stories, and spend your money on those ones.

Buying this book will probably leave you feeling cheated, and I will ask for an exchange.
