When the call came it seemed like the answer to my prayers. My career as a voice actor had been over for months and me and my little girl Scarlet were living back at my mum’s place. I felt like a failure professionally—and with Scarlet having problems at school, as a parent as well. So, when I was asked to narrate a new book by disappeared novelist Philippa Roberts I jumped at the chance, even if it meant leaving Scarlet with my ex, Hugo, for a few weeks. Hugo, with his perfect new home and his perfect new girlfriend Saskia. But this isn’t a dream come true. It’s a nightmare.

Christmas Carol my favorite
A Christmas Carol or Scripts movies are the the ones I watch every year; I have many versions. This year I started listening to Audible and I am delighted to say this is one of the best presentations I have listened to it will be a yearly event.

A pleasure to listen to!
I highly recommend this UNABRIDGED version and the wonderful narrator, B.J. Harrison. Listening to abridged versions previously (I didn't realize they wwerre abridged) left me with questions. Listening to the full story as Dickens penned it answered all my questions. So much more beautiful to heaar the entire story. B.J. Harrison is phenomenal as the narrator.

A personal favorite among many fine recordings
Narrator B.J. Harrison's passionate rendering is perfectly suited for this holiday classic. For instance, Mr. Harrison's bellowing of Dickens' "Oh God! To hear the insect on the leaf pronouncing on the too much life among his hungry brothers in the dust" is absolutely rousing. There is no shortage of fine audio recordings of A Christmas Carol, but this narration remains a personal favorite.
