Wonderfully book, could have been a bit longer.

The one and only complaint I have is that things go from moving at a normal pace to lightspeed in just a short period of time. It's such a short period of time and it seemed unrealistic for the female protag to settle into a situation that would take some people lifetimes to accept with such speed and ease. More of the internal struggle and building the relationship between the two main characters would have been nice. Other than this, I really enjoyed this book. It was a good listen.

A Good Dark Read

Spoiler Ahead This was a pretty good book that I liked. Ruby Jacobson has worked and saved her money so she can get away from her abusive mother and her many boyfriends. On the day she escaped she is followed by a man while sleeping she is kidnapped. Ruby finds herself being sold at an auction. Gavin Darris is a man that always get what he wants he is rich and sexy and dominant. Gavin doesn't have a problem getting women but he is looking for something or someone to feel is darker need's. When he sees Ruby he knows he has too have her she calls to him. This was a dark twisted book that I liked. Ruby who has had dark twisted urges and never thought she would act on them until Gavin. This book was well written or read as I listened to this books on audio. I love reading or listening to Ms. Snow's books and I loved the epilogue.

Dark Erotica

This book is so good, dark that I'm in love. I like the 2 main characters and it's based on their sexual appetite for Pain & Pleasure.

Great Narrator

Would you consider the audio edition of A Beautiful Prison to be better than the print version?

I bought the print version a couple months ago, but I'm glad I bought the audio version. Wow. It made to story come alive. The Narrator was amazing.

Eh

This story line wasn’t really my thing so I can’t blame the author for that, still the writing was just ok. It was basically just sex, not really any emotion. I wonder if I would have liked it a little more if I read it instead of listened to the audio version because I’m positive this is the worst narration I’ve ever heard. Every time he did the female voice I literally laughed out loud, pretty sure that’s not what they were going for with a human trafficking bdsm story...

Loved it

This was the first Jenika Snow book I listened to on audio book and I absolutely love it, I would listen to it while in the treadmill. Let's just say u got some good time running LOL I couldn't get enough . Hope JenikA comes out with more audio books soon!!

Giving yourself willingly

This was a good story, dark but good.

Ruby had just graduated from high school. She did not have much in life. No father and a worthless mother that did not care for her. All her mother wanted for her was money. Ruby knew she deserved better in life and was determined to get just that. She never dreamed leaving home would cause her to run right into danger.

I can not imagine the fear that Ruby felt being sold as a sex slave. To be bought and forced to go with this strange man knowing all the awful things he wanted to do with her. Her future looked bleak that is for sure.

Ruby and Gavin who was the sexy man that bought her were kindred souls. They both had this darkness that threaten to consume them. Gavin was getting addicted to Ruby fast. He had bought her, he owned her, and was determined to do what he wanted with her. He was going to make her fill every dark fantasy he had.

There is this battle going on inside both Gavin and Ruby. There are decisions to be made. Depending on the out come it could rip Gavin into. Truly a great dark love story and don’t worry one with a HEA. Story worth reading. I did use whispersync with this book and enjoyed the audio so much.

Not you typical romance. Dark and Hot!

Yes, this books makes you look at hard issues and let's you feel all the emotions Ruth and Gavin are going through.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Beautiful Prison?

All of the book but my favorite is the ending. You have to listen to find out why.

What about Jason P. Hilton’s performance did you like?

His voice, it is hot and pills you into the story.

I love Jenika Snow and after reading the blurb did not know if I would like this book. It is hard and the subject is dark but she takes you on a wonderful journey of a young girl to find her true self and the hard sadistic man who helps her find it. Loved this story, it makes you feel so much and makes you empathize with both Ruth and Gavin. I recommend this story to all Snow fans. She out did herself with this story. It is deep and dark but does have a good HEA.
