One killer. Thirteen victims. A million views.

A must-listen thriller for the social media age, perfect for fans of A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and One of Us Is Lying.

A decade ago, Jess lost her mother to the Magpie Man, an infamous serial killer who is still at large and planning to kill again. Now, she's going to use her new platform as the star of a YouTube reality series to catch him. That is, if he doesn't catch her first.

Jess's online show means that everyone is talking about her mother's murder case. But fame comes with its downsides. The whole world is watching her every move. And it's hard to know who she can trust.

Could the Magpie Man be lurking closer to her than she thought? Is he watching her right now?

Amazing

I really enjoyed this book and felt a connection to the characters but I wish it went more into about Jamie.

It’s a ton of very short chapters, some issues.

There were over 100 chapters in this book. But each once was less than 5 minutes long. I thought that made it seem very choppy.
Also, the story took place outside of London, but the girls accent was very Americanized. And it just didn’t seem to fit. I found the teacher subplot a little odd.
I might try another by the author, but I was recommended this based on Karen McManus and Holly Jackson and it wasn’t as detailed or fleshed out as either of them.

I was not sure at first🤔

I decided to listen to this book because my 16 year old daughter bought it. Being the mother that I am and became a little frightened the title was strong. I listened to this book, I realized that it's a good book to read for myself, also for my 16 -year-old daughter. Believe in yourself at all times, and you also will conquer the mad pie man.

awful

Feels like this was written by a child. Parts make no sense to anyone with half a brain. I mean I get it about the mother being killed, not a spoiler. But it's 10 years later, an entire decade and they're acting like it was yesterday.

Literally the first half is about how bad it sucks for her and everyone still feels sorry for you. Again, that event was 10 years prior. There's no character development, the only thing you learn is one thing about each one, it's usually something depressing.

There's other things but they may spoilers. But even at chapter 91 it's just like the beginning where they act like this just happened, listen to my depressing inner dialogue and feel bad for me. After 1200 audible titles this is only the 6th I've given 1 for a review.
