As with all the Solfeggio Meditations, Glenn Harrold explains what they are and how it works at the beginning of each meditation. This is something that sometimes annoys me on other meditation tapes, because I just want to get to it.. But it isn't an issue for me with Glenn's cd's.. His voice is so calm and soothing, I enjoy the brief explanation at the beginning of each one.. It also gives me time to really start relaxing and ready myself for the purpose of the meditation.
This one is about being able to express yourself freely and communicate effectively. He doesn't say this in his description, but I'm sure each one of these meditations in the series has to do with the Chakra system. As with this one, it's connected to the color of blue and communication, the same as with our throat Chakra..
It is helping me, but I know I need to listen to this one more, as I have a hard time just saying exactly what I think to others, a problem I've always had.. This cd is helping me to feel more free to say exactly what I mean rather than tip toe around issues trying to keep the peace all the time.. It's not an overnight fix.. It's just a way or working on this type of issue..
I have all the Solfeggio Meditations available right now and enjoy all of them.. This is one of my favorites, though.. This one is used to create emotional stability and harmoise your relationships.. It's about loving others as well as yourself.
Glenn Harrold explains how the Solfeggio notes work at the beginning of each meditation. There are two meditations on each cd, basically the same, only one is to use during the day and the other is used at night (has an ending that will lull you into sleep..very soothing).
He doesnt' say this in his description, but because I have all of them, I'm sure each one is connected to our Chakra system... Like with this one, it is connected with the color of green and will help you with issues concerning love and relationships, the same as with our heart chakra..
I can't say my life changed overnight..it isn't designed for that.. but I do feel a little difference in the way I see others, as well as myself.. I seem to be trying harder to understand others actions, as well as giving myself a break in the way I judge my own feelings..
This is the first time I've listened to anything written by Rachael Meddows. I enjoyed the sound of her voice and found her to be very relaxing. There are a couple of different meditations that are intended to guide you into lucid dreaming. The meditations are very good, very relaxing and will lull you into sleep.. They will most likely also guide you into having lucid dreams. It worked for me, but I have to admit, I kind of don't get the point. I tend to remember a good number of my dreams very vividly, and I do think our dreams are kind of the windows to our souls. Some dreams are just incredibly funny and entertaining, while others seem to be driven by certain things in our lives that bother us... Most of my dreams just make me laugh, but some of them have given me peace of mind about things I have struggled with emotionally.. These are things I can't control and to me, are like a little gift. So with that in mind, what good comes from Lucid dreaming?? With lucid dreaming, you are suppose to be able to control what goes on in your dreams...I'd rather be surprised by my dreams, not control them..
The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of the last tracks seems to have a flaw in it..It's about 1 1/2 hours into it.. It's soft sounds of the ocean.. There's a few seconds of silence, then it suddenly starts again, with a loud sound that doesn't fit the calming sounds in that track... It's jarring, and it seems to always wake me up..
I cannot really say that this is hypnosis as much as it is instruction. But the instruction is positive. Many of the hypnosis programs out there use negative words like don't or no and even words like fat and ugly. The mind doesn't hear the words don't or no which can cause what the hypnotist is saying to be destructive not helpful. So, even though this is not hypnosis it is positive and that is good. I do not like his intake of air in this it freaks me out a bit but that is me. I know that it is a recording and that takes training or sophisticated editing. I do not like that he wakes people at the end instead of letting them sleep. I would recommend it for at least one listen.
