Waddy Thompson is the author of The Wise Guide series on grants and fundraising. He successfully raised money for the arts in New York City for more than thirty years, working for a number of nonprofits including Whitney Museum of American Art, Second Stage Theatre, New York Foundation for the Arts, Symphony Space, and The Authors Guild Foundation. He received his training in fundraising at New York University's Heyman School of Philanthropy and Fundraising, where he later joined the faculty, teaching writing for fundraising.
