Tsaurah Litzky, a long time trendsetter in the margins, is a widely published writer of poetry, fiction, erotica, memoir and commentary. However, poetry is her heart. Her publications include the poetry collections, Baby On The Water; (Long Shot Press) and Cleaning The Duck (Bowery Books) as well as fifteen chapbooks. Her most recent chapbook is a book of yoga poems, Full Lotus (NightBallet Press). Her writing has been included in numerous anthologies among them the Best American Erotica series eight times, all the Unbearables anthologies including most recently From Somewhere to Nowhere: The End of the American Dream, as well as The Careless Embrace of the Boneshaker (great weather for MEDIA), UP IS UP BUT SO IS DOWN, The Outlaw Bible of American Poetry, Jews: A Peoples History of the Lower East Side Volumes 1 & 3), Bowery Women Poems. Other publications include the New York Times, Evergreen Review, Sensitive Skin, New Verse News, Curare. Her novella The Motion of the Ocean, was published by Simon & Schuster as part of Three The Hard Way, a series erotic novellas edited by Susie Bright. Tsaurah’s most recent publication is the book Flasher: A Memoir published by Unbearables/Autonomedia. She has read and performed her writing in over eighty venues. In April 2017 she performed in Prague via Skype at the High Holy Mass of Poetry. Her work is archived in the New York University Library in the Fales collection, and in the collections of the University of Wisconsin and the University of Rochester. She is a member of the on-line poetry circle Brevitas and the Unbearables. She is also a collage artist. Tsaurah lives on the Brooklyn waterfront where she can see the Statue of Liberty, icon of Free Women everywhere, from her kitchen window.
