My name is Tor Richardson. If you’ve landed on this page, you’d probably like to know a little about me. Fair enough. I'm a Seattle native who has traveled throughout the US. Seattle is still a favorite. We have trees and mountains and water sports. Yes, there is rain. It can get a little grey, but there's no humidity and the temperature runs between forty and seventy-five. What's a little rain compared to that? Unlike most other writers, I don’t have a pet cat. My family had a tomcat when I was a kid. I once saw him drop from a tree onto a dog who'd wandered into his backyard by mistake. (Boy, what a mistake!) He rode that dog like a cowboy, using his claws as spurs and raking its ears as they went yowling up the road. Since then, I don't see cats as indoor house pets. They need lots of wide open spaces. At the moment, I don't have that. Maybe some day. For now, I don't have a cat. I’ve always enjoyed story. I managed to sneak a creative writing class past my parents while at college (engineering majors aren’t supposed to take those kinds of classes). In hindsight, I’m not sure about that class. It might have been English. It wasn't writing, and it was far from creative. The bad taste was enough to take the fun out of writing and keep me away from it for a number of years (openly, at least). But… once a storyteller, always a storyteller. The writing eventually came back. I'm glad because telling stories and creating worlds is far more entertaining than making sense of the one we’ve got. Meeting the people who enjoy those stories and worlds is a lot of fun, too. Thanks for stopping by.
