Thomas R. Metzinger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and Certified EMDR therapist with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. He received his Master's degree in Social Work from Barry University. Thomas has worked with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. He has extensive experience working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. He uses a client-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy, tailoring his treatment plans to meet each client's unique needs and goals. Thomas is rained in several evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, Clinical Hypnotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT). He is committed to providing compassionate, non-judgmental support to his clients as they work through their challenges and find lasting healing. In addition to his work as a therapist, Thomas is involved in several community organizations and initiatives aimed at improving mental health access and education. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the American Hypnosis Association, the National Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapists, and the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association, and is committed to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in the field. Thomas maintains a private practice in Vero Beach, Florida where he lives with his wife and two dogs. In his private practice, he provides therapy for individual, s couples, and families. He is dedicated to helping his clients build the skills and resilience they need to overcome their challenges and live healthy, fulfilling lives.
