Sue Russell is an award-winning journalist and the co-author of 2022's "The Illustrated Courtroom: 50+ Years of Court Art" with artist Elizabeth Williams. She is also the author of "Lethal Intent," a fact crime biography of executed serial killer Aileen Wuornos. "The Illustrated Courtroom", whose first edition in 2014 won a dozen awards and honors, showcases the beautiful artwork of five award-winning court artists -- artists who go where cameras can't. It includes more than 150 pieces from many historic trials. 2022's updated edition adds headline-making defendants like Jeffrey Epstein, Harvey Weinstein, Michael Cohen, drug lord "El Chapo" and R. Kelly. Its many notable--and notorious--characters also include Jack Ruby (who killed President John F. Kennedy's assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald), the Black Panthers, David "Son of Sam" Berkowitz, Charles Manson, Patty Hearst, O.J. Simpson, Michael Jackson, 1993 World Trade Center bomber Mohammed Salameh and Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. The new second edition is available in eBook, paperback and hardback formats.
