Scott Flowers grew up in rural Missouri learning to love the outdoors, boating, motorcycles, and sports, while also excelling in school. He passed up scholarship opportunities at prestigious universities such as Princeton and Purdue to follow in his father's footsteps as an entrepreneur opening his first business at age 18. He was married at 20 and decided to work through the corporate ladder becoming a store Manager for Walmart in his early 20s. He remained dedicated to entrepreneurship working as a real estate agent, partnering in convenience stores, a family entertainment business, arcade, go-karts, and night club, and ultimately moving to the beach in Ft. Walton Beach, FL in 1999. In Florida, Scott expanded his real estate interests into commercial real estate and continued his corporate aspirations becoming an Area Group Manager for TBC/Tire Kingdom corporation. Scott's first marriage ended after moving to Tallahassee, and he remarried and is the father of two boys now in their teens. He began working for the State of Florida putting his years of leadership skills to work managing regulatory investigative and inspection programs. While working for the state, Scott became a John Maxwell Certified Leadership Coach and Speaker, and decided to complete his education at Florida State University achieving a Bachelor's degree in Physics, with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics, while continuing to pursue his entrepreneur side by consulting and coaching small business and non-profit owners and managers. He serves on several appointed board positions, and still owns or partners in outside businesses of his own. Throughout 30 years in the business field as owner, employee, public servant, consultant, and NGO/non-profit board member he learned a lot. He also learned his real passion was recognizing, recruiting and developing people to perform in higher and higher capacities for themselves. Recognizing and developing hidden talents and fostering the ambitious goals in others led him to begin writing about his experiences and trying to reach more people with the knowledge he had accumulated over decades of hard lessons and personal or shared experiences. He still does personal coaching, business consulting, and continues to work in public service and the non-profit sector, while hoping his writing contributions can have a lasting impact for his readers.
