Royal Young was born and bred on New York's Lower East Side. His debut memoir Fame Shark released June 2013 from Heliotrope Books. Young contributes to Interview Magazine, New York Post and explores the changing face of the downtown art and culture scene for The Lo Down. His debut fiction was featured as a Sunday Story in Vol. 1 Brooklyn. Other work has appeared in BOMB Magazine, The Villager, Jewcy Magazine, The Forward, 3:AM Magazine, Mr. Beller’s Neighborhood, New York Press, Downtown Express and The Rumpus among others.
