Roberto Kusminsky was born in Argentina and emigrated to the US in 1970. He is a physician, and trained in Philadelphia and Dallas before settling in Charleston, West Virginia, where he has been involved in medical education for many years as a faculty member of West Virginia University. Although he has published plenty of scientific material, Counsel of the Wicked is his first sortie into the world of fiction. "As a child, I always had my nose buried in some adventure book," he says. His book, an adventure-thriller, is based on the shameful role played by Argentina and other South American countries during and after WWII, when thousands of escaping Nazis were given refuge by then president Peron.
