Robert Henry Benson’s latest novel, Through Both Eyes (2022), is a coming-of-age tale of nerdy identical twin brothers who fall in love with the strikingly-beautiful girl next door. Twin rivalry and mental illness fracture their world and transform lives. Robert’s first novel, The Scarlet Kingfisher: discovery of a new species, is an adventure/suspense story about South Texas and its unique environs and birds. He has written award-willing short stories and serial fiction and has compiled and edited an anthology of modern short fiction. Additionally, Robert has written how-to manuals on nature photography and many journal articles on scientific topics, from cosmic ray physics to sperm whales in the Gulf of Mexico. He is retired from a career as a professor of physics and now lives on a small farm in South Texas where he writes, grows plants, dabbles in making wine, and maintains a modest vineyard.
