Randy Hames has been a major market broadcaster, voiceover artist and voice actor since he was 15-years old – more than 50 years. He has starred on morning comedy shows in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Francisco and several other cities. He has won Major Market Air Personality of Year Awards from Billboard Magazine and the National Association of Broadcasters, and is a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. He also won the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service while he was the Network Program Director for Armed Forces Radio in the Republic of Korea. Randy’s observations on radio and TV and its history are born out of first-hand experience working with some of the biggest names, and on the top stations in the industry, and his unique insights come from the depths of an uncanny memory of people, places and events spanning a life-long career in the public eye. His wit and colorful descriptions of radio’s halcyon days, and its decline into mediocrity give the reader a “behind-the-scenes” view of life behind the microphone, with accuracy and honesty. Hames still lives in the Houston suburb of Sugar Land, Texas with his wife of more than 40 years, and he owns and operates a multi-media company with his son and daughter. He continues to host radio shows in the comedy and talk formats. Visit his website: www.RandyHames.com
