"I believe life is a curious and unpredictable adventure full of opportunities for personal growth. Trials can either enrich or destroy us. Either way, they change us. I believe what we learn during the angst of our life defines us as human." Award winnning non-fiction author, Miranda J. Chivers writes about faith, mental health and diversity. As fiction author, MJ Krause-Chivers, her stories carry themes of overcoming trauma through faith and resilience while highlighting cultural diversity and disabilities. The author is a multi-trauma survivor and former social worker with a complex personal and family history. She repurposes pages from her past to inspire, encourage and educate others. Her fictional stories contain introspective characters driven by perseverance and hope while navigating tragic circumstances. Her work in progress was inspired by her Mennonite grandparents’ tales of growing up in Ukraine during the Russian civil war. When she isn't writing, the author is reading, watching historical movies or hiking in the beautiful Niagara peninsula. Please check out her books on Amazon or Barnes & Noble. AWARDS: “Unequally Yoked: Staying Committed to Jesus and Your Unbelieving Spouse” won the Silver Medal in the 2018 Readers' Favorite Award (Christian Biblical Counseling); 2019 Author's Academy Awards (Advice) Top Ten; 2019 Top Shelf Awards Finalist. Katarina's Dark Shadow is the bronze medal winner of the 2021 historical fiction Global Book Awards.
