Math Bird is a multi-genre novelist and short story writer. He grew up and lives in the borderlands of North East Wales. He’s a member of the Crime Writers Association and the Horror Writers Association, and his work has aired on BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 4 Extra. He is presently writing four series: The Mabon Pryce Crime Thrillers begin with BORDER SANDS and follow investigative reporter Mabon Pryce as he investigates murder and corruption in 80s Britain. The HolyHell crime noir thriller books, beginning with WELCOME to HOLYHELL and continuing with GOODBYE HOLYHELL and the forthcoming RETURN to HOLYHELL, follow grifter Jay Ellis from small-town crime in rural Wales to the organised gangs of the London underworld. These poignant, gripping hardboiled crime thrillers follow Jay through 70s, 80s and 90s Britain. The Witches Copse trilogy beginning with WITCHES COPSE and the forthcoming WITCHES BLOODING and WITCHES END, involves gun-for-hire Elizabeth Daton. Eager to redeem herself when a job results in a young girl being hospitalised, Daton agrees to escort an acquaintance of a renowned barrister from the ominous Witches Copse. However, what begins as a simple errand quickly escalates into a terrifying ordeal of possession, witchcraft, and the occult. The Whistling Sands crime noir trilogy follows ex-con Ned Flynn as he searches for those who betrayed him. Beginning with THE WHISTLING SANDS, continuing with HIDDEN GRACE, and the forthcoming RUIN’S END, this series is a fast-paced, brutal and poignant tale about revenge, redemption and the dark recesses of human nature.
