Magnus Moosa is a father of three and the author of Baby Boo-Boos: Common Mistakes That All New Dads Make. Having begun his own parenting journey with very little knowledge of what to expect or how to navigate fatherhood, Magnus became aware of the lack of guidance for new dads. Having taken the journey himself three times over, he is now passionate about filling that gap, and this is the focus of his work. When his wife became pregnant with their first child, Magnus realized how little he truly knew about fatherhood. Despite seeing the popular notions of an amazing father, he had grown up without his own and felt disadvantaged in understanding what his role was to be. He learned the hard way, through trial and error but his dedication to doing so made each of his subsequent experiences with pregnancy and child raising so much easier. Magnus describes himself as a hands-on father. He appreciates children and all that they come with. Passionate about providing other dads the tools and insights they need in order to thrive in fatherhood, Magnus aims to guide new dads in avoiding the same mistakes he did. He is painfully aware of the impact that having an absent father can have on a child, and this drives his commitment to making sure new dads have the skills they need to raise healthy, happy children. Outside of writing, Magnus works in the construction industry and enjoys hanging out with his friends and watching football. His priority has always been his family, and his favorite way to pass a weekend is by spending long days outdoors with the kids, and then winding down with his wife in the evening.
