"I started writing a funny New York City bar Storybook. I soon remembered how close we all are to War, God, Blind Faith and Laughter.” Kevin Patrick Corrigan Born December 28th, 1963 in Jersey City, New Jersey.  Kevin Patrick Corrigan has been a fixture in the New York City Irish bar and music scene for over four decades. Corrigan spent the late 1970s and 1980s hanging out in the rough Irish bars of Hell’s Kitchen and Times Square areas of Manhattan. He was also a mainstay in the dingy clubs of the Lower East Side. It was in these crack plagued pre-Giuliani New York City streets he found inspiration for many of his stories and song writings. From 1987 to 2004 Corrigan spent his time working, hanging out, and performing in the Rock Clubs of Greenwich Village, New York City on world famous Bleecker Street. The Red Lion Pub, Kenny’s Castaways, The Lion’s Den, The Back Fence, and The Bitter End are venues where he worked both as a bouncer and performer. He witnessed firsthand the change of New York City from a perilous mom and pop city to a corporate mall. His Bleecker street band "THE 4th FLOOR" signed a major record deal in 1995. They opened for KISS, THE SCORPIONS, ALICE COOPER, and BRUCE DICKINSON OF IRON MAIDEN to name a few. Corrigan estimates he has been in over two hundred street and bar fights. He joking claims his record is 143 wins and 72 loses.   “Working and hanging out in New York City in the 1980’s and 1990’s was an outrageous and magical time. A lot of great music and deviant behavior was everywhere. I was all in.” Corrigan says.   Corrigan is currently the lead singer and bass player of New York City Irish American band BEGORRAH. Their 2011 album “MOLLY B’GEE” was voted album of the week on VH-1’s “THAT METAL SHOW”. Their second album "TOUGH GUY PRAYER" was released in 2017. They are currently working on their third album "WHO'S COMING TO HELL WITH US". Corrigan is currently writing a fictional book series about subculture life in New York City to be released sometime this year.
