John Sandifer is a former career Broadcast Journalist in Washington State. He has been featured in TV programs dealing with coverage of the Ted Bundy serial murders, which he covered extensively as a reporter. After retirement in 1994, he continued writing both for Radio and TV projects and has produced six non-fiction books, each involving large amounts of travel and research. The first was "Tracking T.J." the story of great grandfather Thomas Jefferson Sandifer, a Civil War veteran from Mississippi. The second book is "One Tough Ombre" which refers to the 90th Infantry Division, part of Patton's Third Army in WWII. He tells the story of one soldier's transition from a naive civilian to a hardened veteran. The solder is his uncle. Third, came the Apache saga entitled "Chatto's Promise." It's the turbulent life and times of a Chiricahua warrior who rode with Cochise and Geronimo. Fourth, Sandifer penned a memoir of his life as a TV reporter and the many amazing people and events he covered. It's "McGruff, the News Hound." Sandifer's fifth book, "An Interview with Bliss," is a family portrait commissioned by the Stan Nelson family of Seattle. And most recently, Mr. Sandifer has completed another strong story about the Apache Wars, entitled, "Kaetennae." This warrior was in the Warm Spriings Band of Victorio, probably the greatest guerilla fighter of the Southwest.
