I grew up in Northern California, but I've moved so many times, I really don't know what to say when people ask where I'm from. "Not here," is usually the most accurate answer. Before I met my husband, I usually moved in pursuit of education, which included stints in Massachusetts, Iowa, England, Spain, and Rhode Island. My favorite US city is Boston, where I met my husband. In eight years, we lived in nine different places, moving around in search of something that might convince us to stay put. We were headed to Spain when my husband suddenly passed away. Now I'm trying to live the dream for both of us in beautiful, medieval Zamora. I was a fiction and creative non-fiction editor at Fireship Press in amazingly unique Tucson, Arizona, for nearly two years. My paranormal urban fantasy, which is Gilmore Girls with a twist, AWASH IN TALENT, is available from Kindle Press. I contributed the story of the king's mistress at the mercy of the wronged queen in WE ALL FALL DOWN: STORIES OF PLAGUE AND RESILIENCE. My latest magical novella is THE ATWELLS AVENUE ANOMALY. I've also written a poetry chapbook, DUSK BEFORE DAWN. My translation of an inspiring medieval story, The Abencerraje, is available for a pittance. I have also published literary criticism: Law and Order in Medieval Spain and Deu-lles o que merecian: Violence in the Cantigas de Santa Maria.
