Born in Odessa, Texas, Jeremy grew up mostly in southern New Mexico. Strongly influenced by his grandmother's love of history, and his mother's love of reading, both of which he took up early in life. Inheriting a strong work ethic from his father that served him well in the manic world of theater, Jeremy Lee started out writing for the stage, first in Denver and then in small New York venues while attending the New York School for Film and Television. Since leaving New York Jeremy Lee turned his attention away from theater and film, writing comic books, and then eventually a short satirical novella about the theater. With his novels he touches on the historical, whether in sweeping stories of heroism and adventure like Where I'm Bound I Can't Tell or a collection of mobsters and thieves in Kings of New York, to the satirical or into the realm of science fiction and fantasy. Writing science fiction with one foot in theoretical experiments and one holding up a mirror to society, or fantasy which explores the possibilities which history never took. He currently lives in Denver with his family, writing ferociously when he can't find and excuse to be in the middle of nowhere fishing, getting blissfully lost in a museum, or occasionally just watching old Bogart movies and eating pizza on the couch.
