Jason William Karpf grew up with storytelling. The son of a screenwriter, he was a child actor in the early 1970s, appearing on classic TV shows such as The Bold Ones, The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, and Bonanza. Screenwriting became his calling from his teens to early thirties. In 1994, he wrote the book Anatomy of a Massacre, the true story of the worst mass shooting of the era, presaging the current epidemic of these crimes by 25 years. Jason’s blogging and nonfiction writing brings a godly perspective to marketing. His science-fiction novels and stories put Jesus first. His speaking creates unique paths to Christian truths, exemplified in his presentation series “Christian Sci-Fi Night with Professor K.” Jason holds a master’s degree in communication from the University of Denver and a certificate in nonprofit management from Purchase College, State University of New York. In addition to writing and speaking, he teaches marketing, communications, fundraising, and public speaking at Christian universities. Jason and Ann, his wife, live in Minnesota; between them, they have a son, two daughters, a daughter-in-law, and a grandson. When he is not writing, speaking or teaching, he is making music, playing guitar and bass in the worship team of his church. A history and trivia aficionado, Jason was a four-time champion on the TV game show Jeopardy in 2000.
