Dr. Jasmine Renner is an international speaker, an author and the CEO of the Kids Innovation Kingdom a subsidiary of Rehovot Educational Consulting, LLC. In 2020, she launched the Global Kids Konnect Portal (a multi-national and international kid's portal where kids in the US and several other nations connect, engage, innovate and invent in virtual spaces. In addition, she launched the Kids Innovation Kingdom, an innovation hub for kids to create, innovate, invent and express artistic gifting. (https://www.kidsinnovationkingdom.com/). She is the author of seven children's fiction novels which are available in paperback, kindle and audio (audible) formats. Her children's' fiction books focus on African proverbs used as "Leadership and character-building lessons" for kids. Her books have been translated into eight different languages (French, Amharic, Spanish, Portuguese, Swahili, Arabic, Rwandan Kinyarwanda) and English. She has also authored two non-fiction books on wisdom and creativity, published numerous peer-reviewed refereed journal articles and several book chapters on Leadership. She recently authored a text book on Higher Education Law and Social Media titled: Social Media and the Law: A Practical Guide for Educational Leaders. Dr. Renner recently received the 2020 "Ambassador’s Distinguished Scholar" award from the United States Embassy in Ethiopia. The Ambassador’s Distinguished Scholars Program is a collaboration among the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia (PAS), the Institute of International Education (IIE) which supports the U.S. Embassy in Ethiopia and the partner university; Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia. She will conduct research, assist in pioneering a doctoral program in Adult Learner and International Development. She is a 2017 Carnegie Alumni Diaspora Fellow, a 2015 Carnegie Diaspora Fellow, a Fulbright Specialist Scholar and currently a tenured Full professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at East Tenseness State University. She is also a 2014 "Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) Maxine Smith Fellow." A native of Sierra Leone, she practiced law as an attorney specializing in comparative international law and general legal practice before relocating to the United States. She is the founder of the Soaring Edge Girls Leadership Mentoring Program a girls leadership mentoring program that spans four African nations and the United States. She is the mother of a thirteen-year old energetic and creative Son, Daniel Denzel Renner. She enjoys creative expressions, teaching, reading and dance aerobics. She resides in Kingsport Tennessee, USA.
