I feel like I am that member of the tribe who went out and acquired knowledge and wisdom and have come back to teach my tribe how to turn their sadness, anxiety and feeling stuck into a life of joy, creativity, and inner peace – how to live from a place of lightheartedness in this game of life – without addiction, depression, or feeling and being held back by the pain of the past. I was horribly bullied as a child. At age 17, a debilitating eating disorder showed up: I was bingeing out of control – until I was stuffed and felt sick. And going back for more. In college, a friend told me about Overeaters Anonymous. I thought she was crazy. And I proceeded to enroll in “Schick for Weight Loss”. A few months later, when “Schick” stopped working, I sucked it up and went to a meeting. When I heard the speaker say, “I can eat a whole pizza in one sitting,” I knew I was home! I worked a program for 35 years, saw therapists, and discovered my spiritual path, the journaling, the tapping, and the inner child work. One morning I woke up and realized I was no longer addicted. I began helping others heal their pain from the past and their addictions and loved it. I am effortlessly keeping off 50 lbs. and I don’t overeat any more. I no longer have to fight that part of me that couldn’t stop eating or lose weight. I have discovered the formula to maintain a healthy weight and healthy eating habits.
