Dr. James Lindholm dives deep for his inspiration. He writes novels based on his own ocean adventures; from a foundation of direct, personal experience with the undersea world. Currently he serves as the James W. Rote Distinguished Professor of Marine Science and Policy and the Chair of the Marine Science Department at California State University Monterey Bay. He has conducted research around the world, including the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, as well as the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Red Seas. From the ocean depths to Washington, D.C., Lindholm has been to the White House to draft text for an executive order and has briefed members of the House and Senate on issues of marine science and policy.
