Helen Delaney is a former Foreign Service Officer who also spent 42 years in Washington, DC where she worked among engineers and scientists, reporting on governmental issues and writing research papers, a far cry from her later spiritual experiences. "The Messenger: The Improbable Story of a Grieving Mother and a Spirit Guide" was her first book, written after the death of her teenaged son. "The Well: Two Women, Two thousand years apart, connected by a Pandemic, Slavery, and a Son" is her second book, published as she approaches the age of eighty-five. In "The Messenger," an unlikely collaboration with a Spirit Guide named Lukhamen, reveals an intimate account of a heretofore unknown world - that of the son of a high priest in the ancient city of Luxor, as Egypt was in the throes of a Roman occupation, some two hundred years after the death of Christ. The author tells two stories - her own and Lukhamen's. Through him and the incredible account of his life, she comes to understand that death is not what she thought it was. "The Well," eight years in the making, continues Lukhamen's story, chronicles the death of her husband, the loss of her channel, and return to the life in Egypt. Her Spirit Guide Lukhamen leads her to the startling connection to the Egyptian woman named Alenna, his mother. There are remarkable "coincidences" between their lives - slavery and its aftermaths, a pandemic, and a son. This is a story of ancient memories seen through a cosmic keyhole, a story of love that is greater than time. She is the proud mother of three daughters, grandmother of two granddaughters, and lives in Sedona, Arizona.
