Heidi Langbein-Allen is a first-time author. Her upcoming debut book, Save the Last Bullet, a true account of her father's traumatic ordeal as a boy soldier in the Nazi army in World War II, will be published on October 30th, 2022, in the U.K. by Pen & Sword Military, an imprint of Pen & Sword Books Ltd, and on November 24th, 2022 by Casemate Publishers in the U.S. Excerpts of her book aired in May 2021 in the top-rated World War Two podcast, fightingthroughpodcast.co.uk., and her episode (episode 69) has had over 11,000 downloads. A chapter of her manuscript was included in the San Diego Writer's Association 2021 anthology A Year in Ink. Heidi is half-German, half-Spanish. She was raised in Germany, France and Spain. She lives in Southern California with her husband, a retired U.S. Navy veteran. They have two children. She is currently working on her second book, a historical account of her Spanish family.
